Example of intensive inbreeding
A good example of the intensive inbreeding practiced by Wim Muller is the
breeding of the three base pigeons responsible for the whole Muller strain.
In the very spirit of Anker, Wim Muller has fixed the genetical material of
the most valuable pigeon he possessed at that moment: the granddaughter of
Zilvervosje, the best breeding hen
ever.
The crossing material of the Jan Aarden strain used by Wim Muller also
carried the genes of Zilvervosje.
Superduivin or Superhen is de hen of the
Super Pair, the core of the Muller strain.
Sister Superduivin is dam of Godfather, the coq
of the Madonna Pair.
Kruisbek is at the base of the successful
Marseille Star line.
